How IT service providers find clients

IT service providers mostly grow through referrals and long term contracts with local businesses. A lead database of companies in your service area lets you approach new offices systematically and time your follow up when their current contract may be up for review.

The businesses that buy managed IT, support and network services are listed in public places. What is missing is one place to collect them, keep track of them and reach them.

What gets in the way

You want to reach offices in your service area but have no clean list.

Import lists from directories or chambers of commerce into a segment per town or sector.

Sales cycles are long, so contacts go cold before anyone follows up.

Statuses, notes and a date field for the next check show which companies need a follow up.

Prospect data must be handled carefully.

Every record keeps its source and date, unsubscribed contacts are never mailed again and data stays on your own server.

What IT service providers use most

Every list in one database, on your own server.

Riftjaw imports CSV and Excel files from any source into one lead database of your own. You map every column to a field once, and unknown columns become new fields. After that every company has one record with one status.

One status and full history per company.

Every contact in Riftjaw has a status: New, Contacted, Replied or Customer. The record keeps a history of every mail, open, click and form entry. Notes and your own tags sit right next to it.

Named segments, ready for a campaign.

In Riftjaw every contact you add and every import goes into a segment with its own name, like Dentists Leeds. A campaign asks which segment to reach first. Next to segments there are saved filters, rules such as city contains Leeds, which a campaign can reach too.
